Description
Lydia McMichael is a character of mine for Dominion. She's the Astronomy muse, and a timid girl with good manners. She's quiet, but inwardly has a good sense of humor and a genuine desire to know everything there is to know. She idolizes her mentor, Juclesia, who runs space and antimatter.
She's often seen as out-of-this-world and daydreamy. For this, she's often misinterpreted as an airhead, when really, she's very opinionated and educated. Moreso, she's reserved and comtemplative, but she's always wondering.
She's pictured here with a camera, photography being here most prized hobby. It was my first try at watercolors in a long-ass time, so, I know it's not stunning, but it's a start. I like the use of colors, and I adore the drippy and cloud effects here and there. Seeing as it looked rather busy in the end, I wound up lining her in white-out. For her pinky skin-tone and blush, I used real makeup. MegaEyes eyeshadow, Mary Kate & Ashley eyeshadow, and some unnamed tawny colors here and there.
It started out as a sketch, which I will post in Scraps, which was then inked and spruced into this. Ta-da. <3

Her hair against the back ground is trippy, and the monotone of her Liz-Taylor purple eyes + thin red lips provide a beautiful contrast. 
Her hands could do with some polishing though.
